Warranty Policy
1. Warranty Coverage
[HZA Power Steering] warrants that every remanufactured electric power steering rack (“Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of [24 months] from the date of invoice or shipment (“Warranty Period”).
This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
We stand by our remanufacturing process:
· 100% Disassembly & Inspection: All units are completely torn down to the bare housing.
· Component Replacement: All worn or damaged components (bearings, seals) are replaced with new components that meet or exceed OES (Original Equipment Service) standards.
· 100% Dynamic Testing: Every unit is computer-calibrated and load-tested to ensure proper power assist, torque sensor functionality, and internal ECU communication before shipment.
2. What This Warranty Covers (In Detail)
· Internal Mechanical Defects: Including but not limited to worn gears, valve defects, or housing cracks resulting from our remanufacturing process.
· Electrical/ECU Failures: Coverage includes failures of the internal control module, torque sensor, and electric motor, provided the failure is not caused by external electrical damage (see exclusions).
· Fluid Leaks: Any leakage from newly installed hydraulic seals (for electro-hydraulic units) or grease seals (for fully electric units) under normal operating conditions.
3. What This Warranty Does NOT Cover
Due to the nature of electric steering systems and international shipping, this warranty is void if the defect is caused by:
· Installation Error: Incorrect installation, such as mismatched wiring, improper clock spring alignment, or failure to perform a necessary recalibration/software update after installation.
· External Electrical Damage: Power surges, improper battery jump-starting, welding on the vehicle, lightning strikes, or any external interference with the vehicle’s CAN bus system that damages the ECU.
· Environmental Factors: Corrosion due to water immersion, road salt intrusion, or impact damage from accidents.
· Misapplication: Using the product in a vehicle application for which it was not originally designed or specified.
